CUSTOM AMMUNITION TO RIFLE TUNING PACKAGES

In 2023 we are offering our best and most popular group of package specials to give you full service on the tuning of ammunition to your rifle. This is the best way to get the job done for you and your favorite rifle. If you have any questions please call us. Please remember that our process may be slow, but we focus on accuracy first. Also remember some components are much harder to get these days! Our service may be slowed due to the inability to get required components for your rifle (s). There is a special “FACTORY AMMO” package and  all time frame are now the same. Look the packages and we believe that you will be pleased and you will find a package that works for you.  If you are not sure we will start you with the Basic Package and go from there.  We can adjust your package as we determine the amount of work required and perhaps save you some money.  All packages include the 50 BMG! Shipping is not included.

WHAT SERVICES DO I GET WHEN I SEND MY RIFLE IN? (PACKAGES WILL VARY)

BASIC INSPECTION ON ALL RIFLES

Rifles and long range handguns are inspected for general working condition and ability to shoot accurately.  We check the following areas (and more) that we know affect accuracy:

  • Crown (with 40 power microscope)
  • Stock condition inside and out, includes barrel channel, finish, recoil pad, and more.
  • Chamber (using a video bore scope)
  • Bedding in stock (if any)
  • Barrel rifling condition (using video bore scope)
  • Computer trigger pull test (very detailed)
  • Firing pin inspection
  • Scope (sights), bases and rings
  • Bolt face (with 40 power microscope)
  • Bullet run out test and O.A.L.
  • Action screw condition
  • Recoil lug condition
  • Safety inspection and testing

Those rifles requiring gunsmith service are either returned to you or referred on by ARIZONA AMMUNITION, LLC.®. with your approval.  We are NOT a gunsmith service.  We will only do small simple repairs and replacements.  All other work must be performed by a qualified gunsmith.

All rifle details are documented for load development and your specific use is also documented for comparison with the intended or requested ammunition.  Specific loads are developed and tested in your rifle at our private range.  Performance information on ammunition and rifle are developed and provided to you or anyone.  Three targets are included with the returned rifle to verify accuracy.  Detailed information on ballistics of each rifle and ammunition combination are provided to you.  LOAD DATA IS NOT PROVIDED TO ANYONE!

Upon your request, we will develop loads for as many uses as feasible.  (each has a separate charge).  We provide 10 rounds for one use with each rifle for standard center fire rifles and 5 with large caliber rifles like 50 BMG.  Additional ammunition will be an additional charge.  All ammunition is packaged in a hard plastic box with your name, bullet type, and rifle details on the box.  All cases (brass) are “tuned” and are always new.  All bullets are ACCULUBE 10X coated.

 HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Our work is not easy and it takes time to properly do it. There are always issues with each rifle today.  They can include  (and more);
1. Getting all the components for the rifle and planned use with the current shortage.- Can be slow!
2. Firearm inspection and total cleaning of the firearms- this can take a week or more.
3. Researching and building test ammunition-may include several variations too. Can take several days.
4. Good weather to test in.  We shoot all rifles on our outside private range and must have favorable weather for proper testing.
5. Studying test results and researching additional test configurations.
6. The every day things in life like, doctors appointments, holidays, sick, customers calling all the time checking on their rifle.
7. Having to send the rifle to have additional work done on it. Sub-contractors an.
8. Final paper work, the firearms written report, loading ammunition, packaging rifle and ammunition- this can take week or so.

There are two ways to get your work done:

1. RANDOM PROCESS – Once we receive your rifle it falls in line behind others that are already in-house.  The average is 8 to 10 weeks for our work to be completed, provided we do not have any problems. (WILDCATS MAY TAKE LONGER.)

2. RESERVATION SYSTEM – Call ahead and reserve a time and send it in on or prior to the reservation time and you will not be at the bottom of the list. (THIS IS THE RECOMMENDED METHOD.  WE DO NOT HAVE A SLOW SEASON AND PLANNING IS EVERYTHING!)  Send us your rifle when you do without it for up to 3 months!  If you call us all the time, we cannot get our work done!  Remember that “Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part”.

There are many exceptions to this schedule and it is certainly not guaranteed in anyway.  PLAN AHEAD!

HOW DO I SEND MY RIFLE IN?LIVE IT BREATHE IT LOVE IT

ARIZONA AMMUNITION, LLC.® is easy to do business with!  Rifles that are to be “tuned” can be sent directly to our address without the aid of a gunsmith or FFL holder.  Rifles will be returned directly to you by insured secure delivery services.  Please follow the following checklist:

  • Use light weight gun case – plastic is fine. Place in card board box. WE WILL SEND YOU ONE IF YOU CAN NOT FIND ONE.

  • Remove bolt and place in an old sock or bubble pack and put it in case away from the rifle’s optics.  VERY IMPORTANT!
  • Include scope, bases, rings, bipod (if any) and all instructions.  Tell us what distance to sight in at.
  • Tape down locks on gun case and place in cardboard box (about $5.00 at mail store OR WE WILL SEND YOU ONE).
  • Insure gun and accessories including the scope.  Insure it for more than replacement cost too.

Shipping firearms have gotten easier these days. You can ship UPS (dealer to dealer), The United States Postal Service, and FEDEX. All will insure and ship rifles.  Do not be surprised if there are small issues shipping too.  Some places may tell you that it is illegal to ship guns, others will tell you that you must have an FFL,  some may tell you that it is illegal to even own a gun, others may tell you that they need a copy of our FFL.  If they do call us and we will FAX it to them immediately. The Postal Service is pretty easy to use but, you have to wait in line though. The U.S. Postal Service has an accepted track record of 5% of all mail sent is never received.  UPS and FEDEX are the best. Call if you need help! Go prepared.

For accessories and over the counter ammunition we sell directly to the customer or through our dealers.  Dealers are asked to charge retail prices, but it remains an independent decision to each dealer.  The same guarantee and service applies regardless of where you buy your ammunition.  We accept  All major credit cards,  cash, or money orders for orders.  We accept telephone calls, fax orders and mail orders.  We do not have on line ordering.
