BALL/PRACTICE/ECONOMY 50 BMG LOADED AMMUNITION. This is NOT surplus ammunition! NO ONE DOES WHAT WE DO TO MAKE THIS GREAT AMMUNITION!

Here at Arizona Ammunition, LLC.® we are very sensitive to the needs of our shooters.  Today shooting is more fun, challenging, and as expensive as it has ever been.  We do not believe in “cheap” ammunition though nor do our shooters.  If you want something that just goes “bang” we are the wrong place to shop.  We are very serious about your experience in enjoying accuracy when shooting.  We like the only variable in shooting to be.  So there is the challenge; Have good performance and be affordable.  It is harder than one would think but we try.

In our economy ammunition construction we use a lesser quality bullet that is inherently less accurate by design and construction.  They are generally designed for a machine gun and not a quality rifle. So we have a challenge to get good performance and be economical.

WARNING-WARNING-WARNING! We do not fault anyone from being cautious and thrifty. We do it ourselves but you should have a little more information on cheap ammunition. As you search for ammunition for your big 50 BMG be careful and remember these points;

1. The cost of the cheapest quality 50 BMG ammunition components exceeds $2.00 to $2.50 each when added up (the cost to make it).  That does not include the, Excise tax of 11%, labor, insurance, and other overhead costs to assemble and package the cheap ammunition.

2. We can always tell when cheap 50 BMG ammunition is on the line. In fact we generally know who’s cheap 50 BMG ammunition it is by all the smoke!  While the picture shown is of a black powder shooter it does demonstrate what some cheap50 BMG ammunition looks like when it is fired.  FOR REAL! Think about these points;

     A. When cheap 50 BMG ammunition is made the builder may have to use the cheapest and dirtiest surplus gun powder available to keep the cost down.  How else do they get the price down?.

     b. They will likely use the cheapest bullets available.

     c. Now think about what this cheap and dirty gun powder is doing to your quality rifle?

     d. What is the cheap bullet doing to rifle and can you hit anything?

It is always interesting a big matches to look down the line when it is called hot and see which rifle produce the most smoke!  Lots of smoke mean CHEAP! Imagine what it will take to get that rifle clean later!  Do you really want to do that to your rifle?

So what do we offer?

There is no minimum on any of our ammunition!

1.Loaded Ball ammunition using the M33 Ball bullet-$3.99 eachthat is hand loaded here with clean, sized, and chamfered brass cases with modern gunpowder and new primer.  The M33 ball bullet is ACCULUBE 10-X coated.  Velocity should be about 2,700 fps and out of a quality 50 BMG rifle the shooter should expect the accuracy at 1,000 yards to be between 15 and 20 inches depending on the shooting conditions, shooters experience, and quality optics.

M33 Ball bullets are very popular and highly accurate for a military ball round, this ammunition uses a FMJ M33 military ball bullet (mild steel core) ACCULUBE 10X coated in once fired fully inspected recent issue military cases that have been sized, trimmed to length, military crimp removed from the primer pocket, had the special exclusive low drag chamfer put on the case mouth, and fully inspected.  They have a high polish on them and they look and shoot great! We use modern gunpowder and quality american made primers. They are not approved for hunting in all 50 states though.

The M33 bullet can not be used for hunting due to the mild steel core it has. These are not armor piercing though. They shoot about 200 feet per second slower than the competition round. Average accuracy in most rifles due solely to the M33 bullet. This is an excellent “plinking” round. Note that this projectile will not pass the magnetic test at shooting ranges.  Most shooting ranges in the United States do not allow steel bullets so check your local rules. We make it here. This lower cost ball round is made here and each round is hand weighted.

2. Loaded Ball ammunition with new TCCI bullet-$5.00 each that is hand loaded here with clean, sized, and chamfered brass cases with modern gunpowder and new primer.  The TCCI  ball bullet is ACCULUBE 10-X coated.  Velocity should be about 2,700 fps and out of a quality 50 BMG rifle the shooter should expect the accuracy at 1,000 yards to be between 15 and 20 inches depending on the shooting conditions, shooters experience, and quality optics

New TCCI ball style bullet- This is a solid bronze bullet that we are testing. Results will be shown here. Once into production this ammunition will use the TCCI bronze ball bullet ACCULUBE 10X coated in once fired fully inspected recent issue military cases that have been sized, trimmed to length, military crimp removed from the primer pocket, had the special exclusive low drag chamfer put on the case mouth, and fully inspected.  They have a high polish on them and they look and shoot great! We use modern gunpowder and quality american made primers. They are not approved for hunting in all 50 states though.

WHAT ACCURACY SHOULD EXPECT FROM THIS ECONOMY AMMUNITION?

Generally this ammunition with a machine gun bullet will never perform as well as ammunition with a quality bullet like a Hornady A-MAX bullet.  It is not designed too in anyway.  So what can you expect?  Here is an outline of our experiences with this lesser quality Ball type 50 BMG ammunition;

1.M33 Ball from AZ AMMO- Expect 18 to 25 inch groups at 1,000 yards from a quality 50 BMG rifle like a McBros, Armalite AR-50, L.A.R. Grizzly (longer barrel), Barrett 99, and similar. Quality optics will be a factor in the optics too.

2. Loaded Ball ammunition with new TCCI bullet- STILL TESTING

3. Loaded Ball ammunition  with new Tex-X bullet-STILL TESTING
